I co-directed a documentary about Della Darling, a journalist by day and a cabaret dancer by night, exploring the contrast between her professional and personal lives. My role included producing, filming, and assisting with editing, capturing the delicate balance of Della’s two worlds. Through my documentary interviewing style, I was able to create a comfortable space for Della Darling to discuss her self-image, allowing her to open up about the deeper, more personal reasons behind why she dances. This approach led to intimate insights into how dance allows her to express herself and escape the pressures of life.
